StArt Faire - About & Page Guidelines

:groups: About

StArt Faire is an online monthly comic magazine with an emphasis on fantasy themed comics appropriate for people 13 and older. It was created by an artist for other artists and fans of comics as a non-profit project that aspires to unite artists in a collaborative effort to bring the concept of the Japanese comic magazine to an international and online format.

Of course, StArt Faire cannot function without our wonderful contributors. StArt Faire is always open for submissions, and we encourage everyone to participate if they can~! Here are some of our basic guidelines if you wish to submit to the magazine.

:bulletblue: Your comic must not have been posted/published before and be able to start in the magazine.
:bulletblue: Your comic must appear in StArt Faire first. However, you will retain full rights and can post your pages two days after they appear in the magazine.
:bulletblue: You will be expected to send us 4-10 pages of your comic along with a cover page every month. We are also willing to accept every other month schedules if every month is not possible for you.

For Mirrored Comic Artists:
:bulletblue: This category is for ongoing comics that have already debuted online (essentially, it’s a mirror of your comic)
:bulletblue: You will be expected to send us 4-10 pages of your comic along with a cover page every month. We are also willing to accept every other month schedules if every month is not possible for you. Cover pages are advised to have your main site’s URL on it.

For Featured Comic Artists:
:bulletblue: This is a one-time preview of your comic.
:bulletblue: You may include up to 10 pages from anywhere in your comic you think will represent it best.
:bulletblue: You must also submit a cover page for your comic with the URL of where it can be read online on it.

For Writers:
:bulletblue: You may submit a guest article or apply to become a regular content contributor.
:bulletblue: Articles (fully formatted and with pictures) are limited to one page (for reference, the max word count is about 650)
:bulletblue: Content may either be relevant to indie comics (reviews, spotlights, etc.), general art tutorials, convention information, or original, short stories.
:bulletblue: Articles must be visually interesting, though we are willing to help format the work if issues are present
:bulletblue: We reserve rights to reformat your work and/or ask you to trim down your article
